Belspirits, Belgian know-how ... once!
The base of the Belgian Apero is a good Italian rosé. A drink with freshness, basic acidity and fruitiness. At Sterkstokers, this drink is diluted with herbs, bitter but also fruity like sweet orange or grapefruit.
William Mortelmans, owner of Young Charly, came along with two good friends and a glass to discuss the popularity of aperitif spritzers. A drink that originated in Italy and is immensely popular on the terraces. One of the reasons for this popularity is the recipe. Each owner adds his own touch. More or less prosecco, cava, sparkling water... Together, they decided that the aperitif itself could be more noble. The quest for perfection began. Today, they are proud to present their aperitif made with Italian rosé wine.
It was an art to find the balance between acidity, bitterness and sweetness. It's pleasant to drink neat, but it's best enjoyed as an aperitif.
Ideal in a sparkling spritz or simply on the rocks. Charly's Apero is the perfect companion for any occasion. With Italian rosé as the base ingredient, fine bitters and refreshing citrus fruits, it's a delight for the taste buds!
