Find our selection of Belgian whisky on Belspirits, your whisky specialist. Whisky, or whiskey, is made by distilling malted or "unmalted" grains. Its origin, still a controversial subject at the moment, is in Scotland and/or Ireland.

It must be made for at least three years to qualify for the "whisky" designation and is distinguished by five stages: malting, brewing, fermentation, distillation and ageing/aging.

In order to taste a whisky, it is generally not advisable to add ice cubes, which cause a thermal shock that denatures the aromas and puts the taste buds to sleep.
